Today I'll be talking all about Area 3 in our local MLS mapping system. This is the area that contains Clifton, Crescent Hill and St. Matthews and if you're looking in a map of our city, I think last week I discussed Area 2 which was just east of downtown, Area 3 is a little bit further east and it's bordered, again if you're looking at a map with the highway system, it's bordered on the south by I-64 running basically west to east and then the Watterson Expressway loops around towards the river and then back downtown so the Watterson Expressway turns into I-71 and inside that circle 64 and the Watterson Expressway, that is basically Area 3.
It extends to the river but the river's just on the other side of I-71 so it's really not a lot of property we're talking about there. That gives you a basic idea of where Area 3 is and the closer you are to downtown that's where Clifton is. As you move out Frankford Avenue you're in the Crescent Hill area and then as you move into St. Matthews you might be traveling along Lexington or Shelbyville.

In our local MLS mapping system, this is the area that contains Butchertown, Germantown, and the Highlands.
If you're looking at a map, the west side would be I65 of this area. This area, think of a pie-shaped area to the east of I65, the tip of the pie would be right next to the river. The west side is I65. The south side is 264 or the Waterson Expressway. The east or northeast side of that pie would be I64. That makes up area two.
